HOSTILE TAKEOVER

June 8, 2008

Last night we were at Cubao X. It was awesome. I’ve been wanting to go there for the longest time, just to visit Sputnik, the resident comic book shop there. But i was awed some more by the sheer awesomeness of the stalls there. VINTAGE! And bunch more other old stuff! I can tell, this place is MY kind of place.

Anyway, the main reason why we were at Cubao X was for our friend’s exhibit. Yep, Nemo and his pals are back with HOSTILE TAKEOVER, and just like last time it was brilliant. Art as art should be, unadulterated and fearless, unbottled and bold. And, again, just like last time, PEEKCHURS!

FAKING LOMOGRAPHY

May 25, 2008

Gusto ko ng Lomo cam! I want a Holga! And I want it right now! Now gaddemmet!

I want a Lomo cam so that any shot i take will be deemed artistic and unique, Emo by some, full of emotions, and can be considered a representation of the complexities in life. Then I’ll load it up at Deviantart, where people will comment things similar to what i have written above, i will be deemed more artistic than how artistic I am now… Shyeah right!

Anyway, Lomography is all the rave now among artistic dudes. And being an artistic dude myself, it’s only natural that I too will get interested in these trendy, cheap-looking cameras. I checked out Team Manila’s Lomo site for their price list, and all i got to say is… not bad, P3,000 for a unit? P4,500 for a starter kit? P8,000 for a package? pretty cheap right? not bad, not bad at all… Too bad I’m dirt poor.

Alms? alms?

THE CITY OF AWESOME

March 24, 2008

Jessica has been nagging me forever for an out of town trip. I was never really enthusiastic about it, as it spells out a ton of complications just waiting to happen. But as everything in this world is riddled with complications, what the hell, i gave in anyway. And the outcome: Baguio!

I have to applaud my girl for this, as she planned everything about this trip. From the transportation to the lodging. Clap. Clap. Clap!

We only stayed overnight, but it felt longer than that. I can’t explain it, but i think time slows down in Baguio. This trip was made of pure win. Pictures after the cut! Read the rest of this entry ?
